On a few occasions, we’ve talked about the fact that consistency is more important than any other factor. Runners who practice more often with fewer injuries are going to perform better than their peers, even if those peers run harder on the days when they train. How do we build consistency? By fully recovering in between sessions. Consistency is equal parts stress and recovery.

Read MoreTreat your body like a race engine and food is fuel for your body. In order to get quality output when you are training and racing, you need to put quality fuel in. This means choosing REAL food, not processed stuff, whenever possible and eating a large variety of things. But that also means always making sure your are having enough. Running low on fuel will not allow for proper recovery.
